Resumo: Two sexually transmitted infections or more were more frequently encountered in persistent papillomavirus infection (PVI) than those in transient PVI. The found immunological parameters in PVI arrested further infection progression, suppressed the persistence of human papillomavirus infection types 16 and 18, and prevented related cancer. This might eliminate the virus from the body.
